I have an iMac G3 400 mhz and a Lacie D2 120GB firewire drive. I was just wondering if anyone knew why I can't install Jagwire off the install CD onto it? I have got round the problem by using CarboncopyCloner and cloning the system folder and hidden files.

Can you boot from the FW drive now? If so, then I'm not sure why it wasn't shown as an option to install onto.
If not, then it's probably because the Mac you've got isn't able to boot from FW drives. I'm sure there's an article at the kbase section of Apple's Support tab. Check it out and see if I'm right or not.

Early G3s and G4s couldn't be booted from external drives, so it follows you cannot install an OS to them. You've got around the problem with CCC, which BTW is the only way to install OS X on an iPod.
