Using the calendar in Entourage is a great way to visualize the month and with the reminders a good way to stay organized. However, once the month has passed I have no record of what was done in the previous months i.e. I can't go back and see when that veterinary appointment was in August or when I met with a client in October etc. Is there anyway of preserving these monthly Tasks and Calendar Events? It would be so helpful - the digital version of the Yearly Day Minder I write in but quickly at my fingertips on screen.

I have no problem looking at past appointments in Entourage. In the Calendar view, I just click the left arrow (triangle) at the top of the monthly view (same line as the month name), and the display moves back one month. Click again, back another month.
Alternatively, click "View date" and a dialog appears. Type in a date you want to see, and the vie shifts to include that date.
Command-T (Calendar>Go to Today) returns the display to the current date.

Yes, yes that is all very basic I can do that too. What I cannot seem to do is review past activities on a given day in a previous month. For example: January 14th Dog Groomer. That Calendar Event was listed until January 15 then GONE. So say in April I want to review when I took the dog to the groomer in January it is no longer listed. If I were using a standard monthly date calendar book I could look it up and it would still be written in the box for January 14, 2004. I am trying to keep it all digital so I don't have to keep "double books" - if Entourage kept a record I could reference it and print it out - it would be great - why is this not an option?????

You probably turned on the auto-delete. Go to General Preferences, Calendar tab, and make sure "Delete Non-recurring Events" is off.

Thank you guys so much. It was simple but when you don't know how to do it - it seems difficult.
I have changed my settings in under preferences and hope all will work just fine now. Thank again.
Oh how I have longed for this feature.....

One last question: I have the preferences set to alert me when new mail has arrived however I never get an alert. As a really wacky workaround I have Netscape open on my PowerBook and whenever new mail arrives I get a beep from Netscape; then I check my Entourage. I am using Mac Office 2001 on a G4 800G running OS 9.2.2.

Hey d00d,
Thanks for the tip. By chance, would you know how to make the calendar not default to "All Day Event" when creating a new appointment?

TIA,

Richard
