I have trouble with the C-span web site: most of the stream links there open quicktime for me, which promptly exits with an "461 Unsupported Transport" error.
The stream names all end with .rm, so it should really open realplayer, but the links are some Java thingy that opens Quicktime instead. Or so it seems.
I am using Mac OS X 10.2.6
Cheers, Oliver.

QuickTime tends to hijack the rtsp protocol type, even though nearly all rtsp:// links are intended for RealOne Player. To fix it, go into the Media Types pane of RealOne Player's preferences and check the rtsp protocol, or go into Internet Explorer's Protocol Helpers preferences pane and assign rtsp to RealOne Player.

Thanks for the help; unfortunately the rtsp settings are ok and it still doesn't work.
The C-span site is special in that the links are java scripts.
So no luck so far.

Ha, it was the rstp thingy after all; even though it said realone already, it required a little clicking to become fully self aware..
Thanks for your help!
