As my signiture says I have a 450 MHz sawtooth g4 which runs good now. I need a 500 MHz G4 to run soundtrack which I would like yo get into. Actually soundtrack won't even run on the 450 MHz, saying that I need a 500 MHz. I have read that it is possible to overclock to a 500 safely by changing the jumper settings and maybe adding more colling. I just need a brindge until I get the 1.2 GHZ sonnet upgrade for it in 6 months or so. Can anyone give me some info or links on this,
I know others have posted on this topic but I can not find what I need on the searches. Thanks. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I don't know about clocking but used daughter caeds are anouther option. Like this sawtoothG4/500
or a real jump in speed like this G41.25
for $400 a pretty good upgrade. But to answer your overclocking question try this link Sawtooth G4 bus and clock settings
Have fun.
