I just got a Motorola V60i TDMA phone from Cingular. This is one of the phones that is supposed to be compatible with iSync according to the Apple iSync compatibility page. I bought a USB cable for it powered the phone on and plugged it into my Ti PB 400 running 10.3.2. The phone did not appear in a finder window and iSync 1.3 could not detect any devices. What am I missing???????

My v60i (CDMA) works fine with iSync. Not sure what the problem is with yours.
1. Check to see if the USB port is working.
2. Check to see if the USB cable is working (try using Internet Connect to dial a number).
3. Lastly, check to see if the phone is on. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Did you have to install any third party software before your computer recognized your cell phone? The kits I have seen do not seem to be Mac compatible. Thank you.

I didn't have to install anything other than iSync.
I did, however, have to install a modem script to use it as a modem. I wouldn't even call it an install. Basically downloaded a script and put it in the right folder.
I'm not sure why you're having problem with your set-up.

I have a V60c I'd like to use as a modem. Where can I find a script?

Since this post I have gotten iSync to work with my phone. Two changes were made and I do not know which made the difference, but I suspect it was the cable. The phone was not activated when I first tried and is now. I returned the third party USB cable and got a Motorola brand USB data kit. iSync recognized my phone and the data transfer was successful. Thank you for your help.
