I'm able to record as many tracks as I like with my 'real' guitar and play them back - but when I try to add drums or other pre-existing loops that came with GB, they don't record.
I set up the individual track just like I did with my guitar and then pushed the record button - it looks like it's recording and it shows "drums" in the track view - and I hear the drums but as soon as I get to the end of the recording and stop it - the sound on the drum track disappears.
What am I doing wrong?

Maybe you accidentally clicked the headphone icon? I did that a couple times and you can hear it through the "monitor," but it's not audible on the whole track until you unclick the headphone button.
Other than that, all I can tell you is that I don't know what to tell you.
