I was just curious to see how many Macworld members played Ghost Recon on GameRanger. This is the first game I have got totally addicted to since Starcraft, and I love the strategy and skill of it. I play it.... a little too much I guess /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Anyone else play?

Ghost Recon is a great game and very replayable. I haven't gotten too much into online gaming but the single player is addicting. UT and Quake are good but mindless. I like to use the few good neurons left in my brain. Raven Shield on the other hand was too hard for me. GR is a nice balance. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I just recieved my copy of GR yesterday. I have played the demo quite a bit thats why I bought it. So far Game Ranger seems to be the only place who serves it up. This is a problem for me. Another reason I bought the game is cause my brother plus a friend from work have the game but have PCs and I wanna kick their butts real bad but they seem to have to play the game on Ubisofts servers. Anyone know where some servers are to be found where both PeeCees and Macs can play together. Ubi has tons of servers. Game ranger has 5-15 people serving at any given time. Bummer!!!!
Didn't post to complain but all you GR players gotta agree with me the choice suks for mac players vs. PC players. Game ranger is great but why cant GR be like Quake or Unreal ( I play both from Game Ranger) where you can join a bazzillion other servers of the game or host your own. As it is we seem to be stuck playin with ourselves. Again I dont mean to bitch, maybe without Game Ranger we wouldn't even have GR. but, hey variety is the spice-a-life!!!! And we don't got it............!

I play the Ghost Recon demo if that counts. Game ranger is great. I have been gaming on the mac for about 9, 10 years now.(started with M$ /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif Flight sim on classic SE!) and only discovered Game ranger 2 weeks ago. I cannot believe that its so good. The only fault is that there is no way to play game ranger (or equivilent) across pc and mac.
