Computer is a Dual 450 G4 with 512 MB of RAM. A couple of weeks ago the mouse started freezing up and then jumping to another location on the screen with the computer caught up with the movement the mouse had made. The problem got worse and started to bring the entire computer to a grinding halt requiring a restart. I ran Disk Warrior and it didn't seem to help. I ran Tech Tool Pro and it fixed a lot of problems seemed to run better for a while but now it's back to it's old shenanigans.
TTP is reporting System file problems but no clear answer on how to repair them. I'm running system 9.2.1...will upgrading to 9.2.2 help? Can 9.2.2 be installed on a non OSX computer?

Have you swapped mice with a correctly functioning computer -- that is, have you verified there is nothing wrong with your mouse AND with your computer?
These utilities will not find corrupted preference files.
I run 9.2.2. Most users claim there is no difference in stability between the two. I suggest doing a clean install/upgrade. This takes care of and niggardly software problems.
But you must verify the hardware.
