I have deleted a mail account in Mail.app and all the emails associated with that account have been deleted too. They are not on the Mail.app trash, not even in OS X trash.
Is there is a way to get them back?
It would be nice if Mail.app stores those emails to a folder or at least keep them in the application. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

mail does store emails in a folder: users > (you) > library > mail
i don't know that mail from a deleted account would still be there, but you could check.

Did you ever find a way to recover emails from a deleted Mail account?
I just deleted and reset a Mail account today because it was acting funny -- unable to send messages. I never considered that it would delete all of the messages.

Deleting a mail account in Mail does indeed remove any mail, folders etc. Unfortunately there is no way to recover (that I am aware of).
