I'm also having a problem encoding. I have an eMac G4 1 Ghz, 500 MB RAM, and a 149 GB hard drive with 60 gigs left. Right before the burning process, an error comes up which says "Error during rendering /encoding/Audio_<project name>." I have had success with the computer's superdrive and the blank dvd's before. I'm using iDVD 4.01 and os 10.3.3
Thanks!

I have the exact same problem. Mine is PowerBook G4, with iDVD 4.01 and OS X. The movie is made in iMovie 4.0. Any hints to solve this problem?

There's someting you should look when you encode a movie is the free space available on your HD. You should have 20gb free or more is better for big project (more than 1 hour). It help.

Same here. I got the error message, so I tried it again. It takes forever though.... (I'm on an eMac with 1 Gig or Ram)

I have iDVD3. I have successfully burned 3 projects, but I have 1 project (the shortest of the 4), that will not burn. It burneda couple of times, but the sound was delayed about 5 seconds from the video on the DVD (not when you "previwed" it in iDVD). I then went back to iMovie and changed added a couple of effects and then did a new iDVD project. Now I get the same error message as you guys = "Error during rendering/encoding." Should I upgrade to iDVD4? Do I need 20GB of extra space on my harddrive as someone suggested?
Thanks for input?
