Do these only show up after you sign up for full dot mac?
Do you need a full install with the developer stuff included?
??
( I know iCal is still to come)
Appreciate your help.

I don't think that has anything to do with Rendezvous, cashbo. That's probably just the result of Jaguar's improved networking features and compatibility with PCs.
To actually use Rendezvous, you must have Rendezvous-enabled devices. As far as I know, no PC operating system supports Rendezvous yet, except for Apple, of course.

Also, Rendezvous is apparent in the Print Center, as it finds the printer automatically and configures it over Airport.
I talked to the Apple Rep at CompUSA today and he said Rendezvous in iTunes will be out shortly, but he "couldn't comment on it." images/icons/wink.gif

I don't know why you're whining this much. Sure, Jaguar has a few bugs in it that will be resolved with 10.2.1 hopefully, but it's not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.
Rendezvous is a "behind-the-scenes" feature. Just because you don't see a preference panel does not mean that Apple has pulled off this great conspiracy by which they advertised Rendezvous but actually did not include it. I mean, come on...
Inkwell is somewhere between a "behind-the scenes" feature and a visible one. You will only see a pref panel if you have a supported tablet. Now, I am sorry you feel ripped off because Apple didn't write drivers for your particular tablet, but I don't think they do that kind of work for anyone. Most likely, the burden falls on Wacom and other manufacturers to produce drivers. Incidentally, Bluetooth is the same way: it's there, but you'll only see a pref panel once you install a compatible Bluetooth adapter.
As for iCal, you want your money back because Apple hasn't released a FREE program yet? I mean, come on. No one ever said iCal would come with Jaguar. I was hoping iCal would be released soon, too, but the reality of Apple's promise is that it states iCal and iSync are coming in September. Unless my calender is incorrect, we're still in August.
Finally, with respect to iChat, you may think it was "short-sighted" [sic] of Apple not to include support for other platforms, but once again, you're not looking at the complete picture. Apple is the first non-AOL company that has been given access to the legitimate AOL IM network. Every other program out there (Fire, Proteus, Earthlink IM, Trillian, etc.), use a shadow network that isn't officially sponsored by AOL. Do you think Apple should have included competitors' chat platforms in iChat after this arrangement? That would be ridiculous of Apple to be granted access to AOL's network, only to make a chat client that had AOL, MSN, ICQ, etc. There's a lot going on here you (and I) probably don't know about.
Even with the Help, FTP, and Sherlock glitches (which will hopefully be fixed soon), I think Jaguar is a phenomenal upgrade to 10.1.

(And no I don't want my money back because iChat is not my taste and iCal & iSync are absent)
There's a definate number of improvements over 10.1. I've seen about 75 I would think, so yes, I did look at the OS.
Contrary to what may have been thought, I knew Rendez Vous was most likely background technology. My question stemmed from the fact that my macs right now don't see each other. Should have added that and therefor I was looking for where Rendez Vous is, so I could set it accordingly.
I was just having one frustration after another when things were not according to MWNY, even a new wacom tablet other people say works on their machine by just plugging it in doesn't seem to do anything on mine nor give me access to inkwell (I guess some driver glitch). Throw in some bugs and a few things they shouldn't really have bothered to change ...
and the icerabbit was running a little hot.
Doing better again now, thanks.

PS: Appreciate your comments Applelaw. You brought me back :-) Totally right on everything. It's not as bad as I was painting it. iChat is a huge achievement for Apple to be the only one with true access to the AOL network. Yep, I definately don't know what all is/was/will be going on with that achievement. ...
... and yes I was whining about some bugs; a few dormant features and I shouldn't have started on future programs.
PS2: Everybody I know is not on AOL ... guess that's part of my lesser excitement on iChat.

Case in point. I had an opportunity to play around with Jaguar on a new Dual-Gig at CompUSA this afternoon. Dan (the on-site Apple employee) and I spent the better part of 15 minutes trying to locate Inkwell. We used the Finder's search function, as well as the Mac Help menu.
Not only could we not find it, we couldn't even find any reference to it! I assumed it was either an application, or a utility, or a system preference. None of the above! It was simply nowhere to be found. The Apple guy was as stumped as me.
Well, it wasn't until reading this thread that I discovered that Inkwell won't appear unless a tablet is plugged into the Mac. Who knew? Apparently not even the Apple employee! Hmmmm...given your strict intolerance, I guess that must make him an idiot too.
