Not really. Sports games aren't that popular on the PC, so very few of them ever make it to the Mac, and the precious few that have haven't sold particularly well. My advice is to do what I did -- get a PS2. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You just have to use a wider definition of "sports." /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I have and enjoy Tiger Woods 2003, Nascar 2003, Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer, and Tony Hawk 4. And based on the demo, I'll probably get Wake Boarding Unleashed, too.

Yeah...I would like to see madden, nhl, or mvp baseball...but I don't think we are going to see any of the "real" competative sports for the Mac...

I agree, but I really can't fault the Mac game publishers for this. It's just not a huge market.
If you check the monthly top selling games lists from major market research companies, you'll find that of the top ten PC games, only one or two at any given time will be a sports title. What's more, it'll usually be a sports title that has huge name cachet, like Madden. All the rest are action, strategy, RPG, etc.
So without sports games dominating the PC game space, Mac game companies don't have a lot of licenses to choose from for likely ports. On top of that, the cost of licensing those games is a lot higher because you're not just beholden to the PC game publisher -- the player's associations, the teams and the leagues all get a cut too.
