Hey..glad Lance got fired up from some really good advice, and using QT might just lose a tad of integrity. My ears wouldn't be able to tell, because all the formats seem GREAT /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif ..I don't seem to see what Lance sees (.mp4) Suffix ..am I missing someing? I don't see anything in the Prefs except 'Kind' Just curious if the rest of you guys see the same thing.

When I bought my iBook G4 just before Christmas, it had a nice little piece of software on it called 'Sound Studio'. It allows me to edit imported music and save it in all the usual formats. I didn't know the software was there until I was bored and was digging through the Applications folder. Plus, I can record with it as well through the on-board mic. You should be able to import the file, highlight the quiet section, and press 'delete'. Then save it and import it into your iTunes library.
