It won't boot up when the computers already started up. If I connect it before I start the computer it works fine. If I connect it after starting the computer sometimes it might connect for no reason, usually when the internet connection disconnects or if I put a CD in. But even then it's not always consistent. I've connected my ipod to loads of other Macs (when already switched on) and it's worked fine. So it's obvioulsy not the ipod itself.
It's not a big hassle, I just like to try and sort these things out. Too much time on my hands!
