Hi,
I have a PBG4 with built-in bluetooth module. Today I turned on the laptop and the bluetooth service appeared not available The bluetooth preferences disappeared from the system preferences, the firmware update does not run, the apple profiler does not show the bluetooth hardware.
Any ideas? Thanks,

This has been coming up a lot lately. You need to reset the PMU to get BT back.
PowerBook G4 (12-inch), PowerBook G4 (12-inch DVI), PowerBook G4 (15-inch FW 800),
PowerBook G4 (17-inch) and PowerBook G4 (17-inch 1.33GHz)
1. If the computer is on, turn it off.
2. Reset the power manager by simultaneously pressing and then releasing
Shift-Control-Option-power on the keyboard. Do not press the fn (Function)
key while using this combination of keystrokes.
3. Wait 5 seconds.
4. Press the power button to restart the computer.

Hi Nikon,
Those instructions were cut and pasted from Apple's web site. But you are right.

I made it twice and nothing happened, but the date got back to 1969. I tried starting without the battery, checked on the system profiler, reinstalled the BSD Sub, used the reset-all comand, the 4 chimes resets, install the bluetooth updater and nothing seems to happened, the module is missing.
I have found that this is a common problem on PBG4 lately, but noone seems to have it solved, haven't any on you?
I have succesfully used the bluetooth with this computer.
I appreciate the help, guys.

If your BT did not come back after resetting the PMU, then you need to contact Apple.
