My iBook's date keeps going by to 1969. Also, when I put the computer down on a table (when it is on) it turns off. Seems to be a problem with the battery. We brought the computer into an Apple store and they had it for a few days and claim it was fixed. But it just started acting up again. Any ideas on what I should do? Ever hear of this? (we are still on warranty)

I had that problem with my iBook some time ago...or something very similar. I could put it to sleep and it would stay that way for some time, then just power off (on its own). When that happened, I was back in 1969 again.
Unfortunately, it required a trip back to the factory. I'd call Support.
