Desktop Images

I'm new to the Mac world...anyone know a good site to download high resolution desktop images? Thanks

Ummm... I'm pretty sure that you can set almost any desktop image to work in OS X. For instance, I have the same desktop images on my Mac as I do on the PC that I never use. It's kinda weird, but after installing W2k on it & the Windows Updates, I haven't turned it back on. Makes me wonder why I even have the blasted machine.

Assuming you have photos stored on your Mac someplace, you can easily access them for the desktop. In the Desktop control panel (Apple Menu > System Preferences > Desktop), select "Choose Folder ..." from inside the "Collection:" dropdown menu. Navigate to the folder containing your photographs and select it. Thumbnails will begin to appear in the thumbnails pane near the bottom of the panel. Click on one and it will appear both as the selected scene in the panel and almost as quickly become your actual desktop image.

Or PDF, PSD, TIFF etc..
You name it, it will work nicely as your desktop image images/icons/smile.gif

My favorite is EarthDesk. Static desktops seem boring now.
