I have a URL that always crashes Safari when I try to go to it. (http://www.occ-doc.net/disc2_tocf.htm) Otherwise, Safari works fine. I can open the URL with Explorer or Mozilla. Any suggestions?

Crashes me too. Congratulations. That's the only time Safari has ever crashed on me.

Congratulations. Safari crashes on me about once a day (doesn't take anything else down and always restarts okay). I wonder if the key to the problem is in the URL? I mean the occ-doc.net part of it? That might indicate a site that not only looks for IE, but requires it.
Rsagall: Have you tried using Safari's Debug menu to emulate IE when you open this site? The easiest way to get to Debug is through Safari Enhancer if you don't already have it activated.

Hi
It worked just fine (direct copy paste) on the 'tooth. Screenshot

It didn't work just entering the URL on the Ti. However, the page works fine if you visit their homepage first. http://www.occ-doc.net

Interesting. I just did the same thing. The prime page opened well, but the secondary page crashed Safari as advertised, although it did open at first. Safari 1.2.1 v.125.1, G5 SP 1.8/160/1 GB/OS 10.3.3. I did NOT set Safari to emulate IE before trying it though. I'll try it next. [Nope. Didn't work, but took far longer to crash this time. Almost a minute.]

looking at their code, which is a big mess, it has many MS only lines of code, which is the reason Safari crashes. I have ran it on my 17 PB, G3 tower, 2 iMac G4's, and 15 PB, and they all crash, using the same version of safari, which is the latest.
It did work in iCab and IE 5.2.3 (rarely used)
Safari is great but still missing things, but when web-designers go and create a site only for a particular browser, they stink. I have done that for just mac browsers, it quits when anyone using windows tries to view it. he he he...

I just went to the site (http://www.occ-doc.net/disc2_tocf.htm) and it worked fine for me in Safari. (Not that I dont deserve a crash after my stupid post preceding this one)

It was very interesting. When I opened a new tab in Safari and pasted the url above everything seemed fine. Step two was to close the other tab. Still OK. Then I quit Safari and I immediately noticed that it was no longer in my Dock. I reopened Safari and pasted the url into the single open window and bang crash. It was fun, but I don't want to do it again. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

No problems for me, either. Safari loads the page fine every time I go to it. I tried loading it as a tab, as a new window, in the same window -- works fine every time.
I'm still using Jaguar, hence Safari 1.0.2 -- maybe that's making a difference?
