I have 3 different Epson printers..... 890, 825 and R800.. I can't seem to print true borderless prints with any of them (through photoshop?)... I have the latest drivers..... and it just won't owrk, there is always a white border. I'm selecting the right praper as an option... I am really frustrated!
If anyone has some tips, (as epson's web site is useless) please let me know.
Thanks so much,
emalen!

Assuming your Epson drivers work the same way as my 2200, picking the right paper isn't enough. You also have to pick the right "printer".
To print borderless on my 2200, I have to select the "Stylus Photo 2200 Sheet Borderless" printer. For each feature, (roll paper, sheet, borderless, minimum margins, etc.), there are separate print drivers installed. In all, I have 7 (count 'em - 7), "printers" listed in Print Center for my 2200. Check Print Center and see if you have more than one "printer" listed for each, uhm ... printer.
The bottom line is ... if you're simply using the Standard printer, that's the problem. You'd need to select the Sheet Borderless printer. (Did you ask this question in the Adobe Photoshop forum?)
(I have no idea why Epson can't simply make all the features work in a single driver but at least all the features are now supported in OSX. Oh, forget about contacting Epson support - they're pretty much worthless in my experience.)

Thanks for the advice, the only problem is in my print centre, there is only the one printer... ie. Epson Photo 890, or Epson Phone R800.. I don't have any other options like borderless, roll, etc....?
An odd side note is that I can only get my driver through the 'epson usb' choice - and regular 'usb' says, drive not installed.
if anyone else has any ideas, they're definitely appreciated.

Hmmm ... don't know then. I did check Epson's site and you're right - worthless. They list the printer as capable of borderless, but don't mention how to do it in OSX. But I can tell you there needs to be something enabled to get borderless - an option check box or a separate printer like my 2200 -- just selecting borderless paper ain't going to do it as you've discovered.
You could try calling Epson but be aware they've given me completely bogus info in the past. (I was told the 2200 isn't capable of printing through the rear feed in OSX - not true.)
The only other advice I can give is to post a question in one of the Epson Yahoo groups. (requires registration)

Glad you got at least the R800 working. If you don't mind, what did you have to do to get borderless print with it? Is there a borderless option in the (single) driver, or are there mulitiple drivers after all? I've seen this question crop up before so if you share, it may help others.

To get borderless printing on my Canon 960, you first have to select that printer under page setup under the file menu. The default for page setup is something like any printer. With the wrong setup, borderless printing is grayed out in the print dialogue box.
Could this be part of your Epson problem?
