It says so in Apple's typically-brief blurb about the capabilities of the 10.3.4 update, but in case you missed it, this update finally allows third-generation iPods and iPod minis to be fully functional when plugged into a USB 2.0 port. [more]

Now, does this mean that ANY iPod with a dock connector can sync via USB 2.0? I've got a 10 Gig that would be nice to do this with...

Yes, any iPod with a dock connector (a third-generation iPod or iPod mini) works with USB 2.0 under 10.2.4.
