Hello. I've got a 2000-era iMac and I've been trying to write a blank CD with some Mac stuff on it. However, everytime I put in a blank CD, it looks at it, makes some processing sounds, and then ejects it without even a window asking what I should do. My other iMac (a "lampshade" one, which I cannot use much) is fine with blank CDs, not just the one I can use most of the time, the one that has the info that I want to write on the blank CDs. On the 2000-era iMac, I've said it should "ask what to do" if offered a blank CD, and also "Open Finder" but neither option seems to make any difference. What should I do?
God bless,

You sure it has a CD-RW?

Hi,
If you're using OSX go the the Apple menu, select about this Mac, click on 'more info', then click on 'devices and volumes'. This should tell you the kind of drive that's installed in your iMac.

After you confirm that the iMac does have a cd burner inside (and not just a reader), then tell us what program are you using to set up the recording session. We may be able to offer more help then.
