I was wonderinmg why every time I want to attach a file to my email, it also appears in the body of the email. When I was using outlook with my PC, it would never appear in the body, always as an attachment. Is there a way to prevent it from showing up in the body and remain only as an attachment?
Thanks,

It would help if we knew which mail client you are using. Also which OS.

Right click (or Control click if you don't have a two button mouse) on the image in the email and select "View as icon." However, I think that if you have HTML enabled, most images will appear as inline graphics in your email. [Edit -- Oops sorry, didn't notice you're using an iBook. You'll have to use Control click].

I am using OS X 10.3.4. The mail client is the one that comes with my iBook G4.

The only time I see this happen is when I use an empty e-mail and attach a picture then the picture becomes the body of the email but all attachments I add after that regardless of type become normal attachments.
