I want a program that will back up my entire hard drive so I can restore it should my OS get corrupted. Someone mentioned the free Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC). Someone else recommended Syncronize Pro X. Does anyone have any experience with either of these and/or are there other choices out there.
Thanks for the advise.

I use CCC. It works perfectly for me and the price is right.
Honestly, I'm not sure anything beats simply getting an external hard drive and backing up to it with CCC.

Here's a few more for your evaluation ..
I've tried them all and settled for iMsafe . suits my needs perfectly ..
iMsafe
http://homepage.mac....etcocoa/imsafe/

iMsafe backs up data stored on any mounted OS X volume (such as your HD) to any mounted OS X volume. You can run backups from within iMsafe or schedule your backup to occur every day, on weekdays or on a specific day of the week. And you can create as many backup tasks as you like, so the possibilities are unlimited. The coolest feature in iMsafe is its incremental backup option: you can choose to only backup files that have changed since the last backup, dramatically reducing backup time. iMsafe will compare both versions and will transfer only the updated part.

Just for the record, CCC can be scheduled and it can also do incremental backups.

berg, thanks a lot for the suggestions AND links. That was very helpful. I'll take a look at them later today.
d00d, I knew that CCC had incremental backups, too. I have done a LOT of reading about that backup software. Thanks for mentioning it just in case, though. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
