I just upgraded to 10.2 from 10.1.5 and was using DAVE before the switch.

Now that I've upgraded, I'm not using DAVE anymore because it's not compatible with 10.2 (unless I pay for the upgrade) and networking is alot easier for me in 10.2. I had my PC & Mac "talking" in 10 minutes without using DAVE.

My problem is: I still have 3 items in my System Preferences pane that relate to DAVE. "DAVE Login", "DAVE Network", and "DAVE Sharing". I can't get rid of them. I've tried running the DAVE uninstaller with no luck.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

check your "library/PrefPanes" folder for the DAVE stuff. Just delete them from there.

I tried that, but they're not in there.

The only .prefPane I don't recognize is "Ink.prefPane", but I don't think that goes with the DAVE stuff.

They're either in the library of the root or in the library of your user folder.
Just do a search for prefpane and you'll find them.

Yeehoo!

The Thursby FAQ did the trick!

I spent way too much time trying to figure this out images/icons/smile.gif
