Quicken 2005 is a sad update. Of the 3 features which are highlighted on Intuit's Quicken Mac web page, I anticipate I would use exactly none of them and I haven't seen them requested anywhere on this forum. If anyone on Intuit's mac team is actually reading this forum, take heed. We are very disappointed in this work.
I was looking forward to getting a real upgrade with many new features that would bring it more in line with windows versions, but I will not be spending any money on this update. Having used the windows version of Quicken in the past, it has many features that I really missed when I switched to the mac version. I have made several suggestions on this board of product improvements as have many other mac users, but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears. Perhaps some other smaller developer will be more responsive to the needs of the mac community.
Please, Intuit, listen to us and make this a great product. We will buy it if you do.

Does anyone at Intuit actually listen to us?

most of us would be ecstatic just to see the bugs fixed. Yes, Windows parity would be nice, but I don't expect it.
as for me, I've started looking seriously at MoneyDance. I can actually get a person to respond to my questions, and they seem to be working hard to make a good product. (ie, I think they actually CARE about their customers!)

I have used Quicken for Windows since the product was released. I have faithfully upgraded EVERY time a new version was released. My last product was 2004 premier. In early July I decided to make the switch to MAC and the experience has been wonderful EXCEPT for Quicken. I made the incorrect assumption that Quicken 2004 Deluxe for MAC would give me the same functionality as my Windows product. What a WRONG assumption. The MAC product is horrible! I have been forced to keep my Windows machine running on my network and purchase GOTOMYPC so that I can acess the windows version. From the posts I've read, Quicken 2005 for MAC doesn't help one bit. I can't wait until someone comes out with a product that gives me the same functionality and imports easily into the MAC.
I also use Quickbooks Deluxe in our business (have since 1995) and it came across just fine from the Windows app so I know it can be done.
I realize that MAC is a small portion of Intuit's customers but maybe more would switch if they gave us the same good experience on this platform. Count me gone the day somebody delivers.

The obvious answer is NO. They still continue to release new versions with the same old bugs and don`t give the Mac community the same features that windoze has had for years. Even financial institution downloads such as TRowe Price that have been available for PC users for several versions have not been extended to the Mac version. This feature still only exist for Fidelity and Schwab for the Mac.
