1. You can do it the short way by just simply dragging the image to the desktop or in a folder. Or you can do it the long way by holding down control+button on mouse and select "Save to desktop". If you have a two button mouse, Just right click (Control is the fake right click for the one button mouse)
2. Grab usually never works in the services menu. I am not sure why Apple puts it there. If you want to use grab, go to Macintosh HD> Applications>Utilties>Grab. You can grab a part of the screen or the whole thing and it will pop up in a different window. Grab is great if you are making a book on how to use Mac OS X and you have to describe the dock, menu, ect...

1) the only option for now is to save the page as a pdf. choose "print", then click "save as pdf". a better system is supposed to be part of tiger next year. (sneak preview)
2) i like the screen capture shortcut: commandshift4. i never use the services menu for anything, personally.

Thanks yall for the replies.
Yes, i partly knew about the command-shift-4 shortcut, but the thing is it saves it as a PDF, rather than a jpg like they did a long time ago.
lol when i try that save as pdf function it crashes...just like when i do the "preview" function...any knowledge on that?
