First, I would like to know if there's a way to get rid of an icon on the right side of the menu bar. There's an icon for VPN and I don't have a VPN connection or anything. I would like to get rid of this icon. Also, I just switched to Mac a few days ago and I have the router we used for our wireless internet. It's a Linksys and my dsl provider is SBC. I'm having some problems getting my wireless to work. The cd that came with the router which supposedly works with both PC and Mac doesn't have anything on it that will set up my Mac.

Hold down the command key (the one with the apple on it) and drag the icons you don't want off the menu bar.
You Mac shouldn't need much (if any) configuration to use that wireless.
