What I want to know is, does Intuit offer a gratis upgrade to Quicken 2005? Most software companies give free upgrades to the latest version if you buy an older version either close-to or after a new version release. Does Intuit do this as well?

This is a question best answered by either Apple or Intuit.

Well, I posted here because I thought this forum was "sponsored by Intuit". Are you saying noone from Intuit visits this board?

Whoa, dude. Intuit is visiting the site regularly; I'm not an Intuit employee, so it's not appropriate for me to speak regarding policy issues. My Intuit contact provided the following information:
Intuit does not have a policy to provide free upgrades to customers who receive a copy of Quicken bundled with Apple's computers. Apple bundles Quicken on certain machines, but there often can be a lag between when the new version is available directly from Intuit and when the new version is
bundled onto Apple's machines.
