Using Brasso

How do I use Brasso to remove scratches from my iPod? Can I use it on the buttons if I am careful? I need to remove scratches from all over it.

I scratched my ipod last nite, getting into the car and it slipped out of my pocket onto concrete ground, its only 9days old, there were tears in my eyes. its not badly scratched, bt not the perfection it once was. I heard about ppl using brasso, im a bit wary bout that, so im guna order icleaner deep scratch remover, hopefully should do the trick.
