Please help! We have a Mac OS X Server running OS 10.2.1 serving Macs running OS 9.2.2. I have set up users and administration access. I want every folder to view "as list" on the 9.2.2 machines, but certain folders (like the root of the server drive) doesn't view as list. I don't know much about OS X, and I was wondering if it was server side or client side, and what I can do to prevent this. I have "view as list" set to standard views on the server and on 9.2.2 macs, but nothing seems to keep it permanently viewing as list. This applies to all folders. Even if I want to make a larger window box it will always bounce back to original settings. Very frustrating.! Please help if you can.

Setup a new user on a client and log back in. You will probably find that all volumes are then in list view by default. Your problem lies in your admin user preferences.
i just had the same problem but havent got round to finding which pref it is yet!

Look for loginwindow.plist in main LIBRARY and USER/LIBRARY

Yes I did set up all the preferences under the admin login. It still is not staying that way for me, it is such a pain to have to change it to "view as list" for every folder everyday. Please help!
