iBook loss of wireless

I recently sent my 14inch iBook G4 to Apple in order to repair it. In the end, they changed the whole board. I got the nifty surprise that they changed its processor from 1.2GHz to 1.06GHz!!!
The replacement supposedly arrives on the end of this month, but I noticed something else...
Its Airport range has dropped in a matter... shocking. I have to be literally in front of the base to get half the signal. It's the same on my school's wireless.
I believe they must've done something to the antenna, but what might that be?
