I was editing a video with music in iMovie 4 and i saved and then emptied the trash in iMovie and iMovie quit and an error message came up saying that an unexpected error occured the usual one thaat pops up when applications quit automatically and then i restarted my computer and when i went to open the project up again to continue working on it it said, "Your Project File is Not Readable." Please help me i was not done with it and it took me a long time to make it and its alot of work down the drain if i can't get it working again and i'd be really mad if i lose it, so please help me!!! What should I do?

Well, the first thing you might consider is FCP. Just kidding. That's what I tell myself everytime iMove does something bizarre. In this case, did you try repairing permissions? Also, try opening up the dv files in the finder to see if they play. If they do, you can start a new iMovie project and move these files, via the finder, into it. Just a thought. Also, does the Quicktime reference file in the project folder play? Good luck.

i am not quite sure what to remove when i do the half-splitting which lines and how many of them at one time. if it would help should i copy/paste the text file of the project file here, so you can tell me what to remove or e-mail it to someone? please i'm desperate!!!!!
