When you play a CD in OS-X, the Apple CD Audio Player pops up and there's no way to remove the icon from the screen. It just stays there the whole time in the way of what you're working on. Does anyone know of a way to hide the icon so it's not constantly in the way?
Thanks!

"Apple CD Audio Player" /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif I haven't heard that since OS 9 days. iTunes is OS X's default player, and it can easily be hidden or minimized to the Dock. Apple CD Audio Player, or the CD Control strip would run in classic. Why not use iTunes? If you somehow removed it, you can just download it from Apple and re-install.
<edit> or, if your audio files are associated with Audio Player, just do a "get info" (ie. control-click) on an audio file, and choose iTunes as the "open with" application, then choose "change all".

also in Os X you have a setup option in system preferences:under Hardware; CDs&DVDs tell the OS what to do when you insert a CD
