word 2004 AND PRINT TO PDF

when i save as a pdf in word from the os x print menu, if the word document covers more than one page, it saves each page as a pdf, instead of all pages in one pdf, I am not sure why.

Does the behavior change if you select a different printer? Or can you create a new user and login as the new user, and try it from there? Does that work or not?
Word 2004 on my machine prints to PDF just fine, and I don't see a setting anywhere that would cause what you're seeing. When it prints, what does it do? Name the files "filename1," "filename2," etc??

yes filename1 then filename2, on all other printing it is fine, I will try creating another user
