The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, a non-profit mobile recording and multimedia studio, will make a stop at Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco, which will be held Jan. 11 to 14. Loaded with 2.5GHz dual-processor Power Mac G5s connected to 23-inch Cinema Displays, a variety of PowerBooks, JVC video cameras, plenty of digital video and music software and a pile of music gear, the bus offers free workshops for children and teenagers across the country. During Macworld, Spin Doctors, John Legend, Fatty Koo and Nitty will perform in front of the bus, which will be located inside Moscone Center. The bus will stop by Apple retail stores around the country throughout the rest of the year. more

Things that make you go: "Hmm." John Lennon = Beatles = Upset with Apple = Promoting Apple hardware for production of music....
I guess the main contention is not the software, or even the iTunes store, but the use of the name Apple. It would be interesting to see if the tour bus utilizes/demonstrates iTunes or iPod.

The tour bus is part of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, it has no connection with the Beatles' Apple Corps. It was created in cooperation with Yoko. In fact, Apple Computer is a premiere sponsor of the bus.
