Hi,
On my G3 ibook, to upgrade the RAM I have to remove the keyboard. Is this the same on the 12" Powerbook G4?
Thanks.

No. The keyboard is non-removable (and therefore more stable).
On the PowerBook, there is a little hatch on the bottom. You unscrew it, and slap the RAM in there, then screw it back on.

Just make sure you have a small enough screwdriver. Those things are tiny /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh, and remove the battery first. You don't want power running through it /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Take a look at that, pictures and everything. Very nice, step by step instructions.

I believe it's a size 0- something like $3.50 at Home Depot.

Thanks for the info, i'll try and get a 1GB stick, although i'm surprised that powerbooks only come with 256MB standard- that seems very low!
