Native Instruments on Friday released Battery 2.1, an update to its drum sampling software that adds 13 drum kits to its library. In addition, it features direct-from-disk streaming, MIDI CC automation, a new import browser, the ability to set a default drum kit that automatically loads at start-up and more. This is a free update for registered Battery 2 users. The full version is €199 (US$229) with updates from Battery 1.x selling for €99 ($119). more
