media card readers and print servers?

i have a d-link print server hooked in to my wireless belkin router. i'm using a HP Photosmat 1215 printer i can not get the printer to print. my windows computer prints fine to this printer. how do i set the drivers for my imac? i heard you can not use a printer with media readers in a print server on a mac. is this correct? how do you turn off the media readers if so?

Getting printers to work via print servers is not fun with the macs. One of the best places to start is http://gimp-print.so...net/MacOSX.php3
See if there is a cups printer driver for the type of printer you have. The mac drivers that are able to print directly when connected directly to the printers USB port don't seem to be able to print directly over most print servers with the same drivers.
