This is probably an easy fix for this, but I have been unsuccessful in locating it in the OS X help menus or finding it else where, but... Is there a keyboard shortcut to click to flip over to the Login Window quickly? I know on my Windoze machine at work I just hit the "window" key and L to lock the computer or take it to the "Welcome" screen. Is there a similar shortcut for my Mac?

Do you want to actually log out, or just bring up the login window while staying logged in? If you want to actually log out, just hit Shift-Command-Option-Q, and all active programs will quit and you'll log out.
If you want to stay logged in and just bring up the login window to lock the machine, enable Fast User Switching in the Accounts prefs area (click Login Options). Then in the menubar, you can click on your username, which will show a menu with Login window... as an option.
There are some third-party tools that will let you activate the fast user switching menu via a keyboard shortcut; Butler is one such app.

Adding Option gets rid of the confirmation prompt, so it happens without any further user input.
