Could someone recommend a program that blocks those popup ads on the internet? I have a iMacg5.
Thanks

It depends on the web browser. All Mac OS X browsers that I can think of (except for Internet Explorer) include built-in pop-up blocking. What browser do you use? (Examples of browsers include Safari, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Camino, Internet Explorer, Omniweb.)

It's a preference that you may have to turn on in Safari (I believe it's also quickly accessed in the Safari menu).

Command-K, or in the primary Safari menu. For IE you would have to get a 3rd-party pop-up blocker. Search the internet for one of those, but it's simplest to just use another browser.
