Garritan Orchestral Libraries on Thursday announced Garritan Personal Orchestra Second Edition, and also offered plans to publish an Advanced Pro Edition and Lite Academic version. Garritan Personal Orchestra is a US$279 orchestral software instrument package compatible with Mac and Windows, designed to be used by musicians who use software that supports VST, RTAS, Audio Units and other formats. more

Am I correct in assuming that since this supports Audio Units, it'll work with Garage Band?

It looks like you can use GPO with GarageBand. There's a tutorial on Garritan's website.

I bought a laptop with a gig of memory to run Garritan PO, and it still chokes. I wonder how well it would do on a Mac? Gotta tell you, the samples sound fantastic.

The music department where I teach bought this software, and we installed it on an eMac G4 with a gig of memory. Someone other than myself has been using it so far, but the gig seems to be sufficient.
