Track shares/mutual funds in QB Pro 5?

I'm using QB Pro 5 for both business and personal accounts. Is there any way in QB to track shares (eg, as in a mutual fund), as there is in Quicken? I've looked through the different account types and can't find columns for shares.

There isn't support for investment accounts in QuickBooks for Mac. I don't believe there is in QuickBooks for Windows, either.
