I am trying to get my itunes library on to my new hd since it is for all music and video files I have, itunes won't let me use this library I backed up. Unless the itunes library is in my main HD itunes is empty. I want my itunes library on my extra HD and not on my main drive.

I am not sure what I did or am doing wrong, i have searched all through these forums, no info that I could find.

It's hard to understand what the problem you're having is. Are you having issues with the Library file or the iTunes Music folder?
It should be as simple as this: copy your iTunes Music folder to the new location. In iTunes preferences > advanced change the location of the folder to the new version of the folder.
Once this is done, check to make sure it works and delete the old folder.
The music library file is small and you should probably leave it whereever iTunes puts it.

Thanks. i am a knuckle head, I got it all worked out, no problem now. I just didn't use my brain and kind of just dived in to it. it was so simple.
I love the SATA drives, so fast!
