html email for mac mail

Wondering if anyone can suggest why an HTML email newsletter I sent out to clients doesn't seem to work for those using Mac OSX with Mail as their email app. They get the formatting of the newsletter but all images are shown as pink squares (at the correct size that the image would be). The email works fine for my PC clients. Is there something in the email itself that i should modify to make it viewable by all?
