I have one PC on my home LAN, along with my G4 and iBook. I have my HP printer shared off the G4 for printing so that the iBook can print, but would like to have the PC be able to print to this Mac shared HP printer.
I've seen numerous posts on how to have the Mac print to a shared PC printer, but none I could find on how to do this. Is it possible, how do you set it up ?
thanks....... joe

You would need get some software like PC/MacLan or something else so the PC is aware of Appletalk, and then it might be able to work, if the Mac sharing it is running OS 9. (It might be easier to just attach it to the PC and set it up to share there -if you're running NT, 2k, or XP)

Appletalk? You do not want brain dead protocols running on your network, its called LPR printing, you need to set OSX up to set ypur printer up as an LPR printer which works through TCP/IP, then you need to set your Windows device to print to an LPR printer. It's pretty easy.. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
