I purchased a Mac Mini with some extras last week via the online store.
I chose the "Parcel/Ground" free shipping method. When this is sent, do you think will it come via Federal Express or United Parcel Service ? I'm asking the question because I wonder if someone will have to be at the house to sign for the package or whether it will simply be dropped off at the front door (no signature required).

I ordered mine the same way and received it by Fed Ex Ground (which is apparently not the same as Fed Ex, but is owned by them).
Although it was shipped by Apple with proof of delivery required, they just left it on my doorstep.
This actually worked out ok as our neighborhood is relatively safe, and I didn't think it would arrive on the day it did and was not able to be there to sign for it.
If I had to do it over again, I would have shipped it to work via real Fed Ex.

I just leave a note in a discrete place at the door asking the delivery person to leave the package under a chair on the front porch, and then I sign my name on the note. Frequently the delivery person cuts out my signature from the note. You could also leave a note asking them to deliver it to a neighbor who might be home.
I prefer to have it delivered to a secure place where someone can sign for it, but sometimes I just get excited about buying something and forget about the signature on delivery part /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I placed my mini order on the 17th and received my shipping notice this morning. It is being sent by FedEx and I did the free/cheapest shipping.
