Pepsi's latest iTunes Music Store promotion kicked off on Monday, January 31, 2005. Details have been posted to Apple's Web site; customers in the U.S. who purchase various Pepsi soft drinks with specially marked caps stand a one-in-three chance of winning a free song on iTunes. Now PepsiCo Inc. has revealed plans to show a new television advertisement promoting the sweepstakes during Sunday's Super Bowl XXXIX. more

As for distribution, I saw plenty of bottles and my brother and I both found that Apple's "1 out of every 3 is a winner" was quite a low estimation in our opinion. We seemed to be getting free songs all the time (my Pepsi purchases skyrocketed during the promotion).

We didn't get many bottlecaps in Bloomington, IL last time, but I've seen them in many places already this year. My wife has gotten a winner, but I keep getting Play Again. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I thought the commercial was cool... it showed Apple's rebel side... we live in New Mexico, and we didn't see the pepsi bottles for months.. still nothing here as of today.
My question is this - I won over 100 songs last year, thanks to Macworld's story on tipping the bottle sideways to see if you were a winner... my question is this - will it work again this year? If so, pepsi here I come! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
