Screentime Media on Thursday announced the release of mProjector for Macintosh, a utility that converts Macromedia Flash MX files into applications or standalone widgets. mProjector is available now for US$199 -- that includes an unlimited distribution license for the apps created using mProjector. more

That's just awesome. For $199, I'm an instant Mac developer. Look out, world.

At first I was skeptical. But then I saw that it was cross platform! And they have a price of $299 for both versions!! I am very impressed with that. This may actually edge me away from Director. (not likely, but it may nudge me a bit)

Or to play or generate a movie player in which you could play stand alone ".swf" files and control the movie (stop, pause, play, back, forward, slow motion, etc)?
You cannot control those when you play standalone ".swf" files with the Macromedia SAFlashPlayer.
Can it be used to generate QuickTime movies in which you have full control (even select and save fragments of the movie) ?
Thanks.

You can make a stand-alone player now. All you need to do is build the play controls into the Flash file itself. Do you know how to do this?

Schneb,
Thanks.
Never done it.
Actually, I meant for ".swf" files already produced. Play such files with control as QuickTime movies...
Any idea how to do it?
