Hi -
I bought (downloaded) songs from iTunes for my daughter. I'd like to put them on a CD for her to play on her standard CD player - but not sure how to change the formats to be able to do that. Any suggestions?

Simply create a playlist, move the songs into the playlist, insert a blank CD and then click "burn CD".
Make sure in iTunes preferences you have "Audio CD" selected in the "Burning" section.

I tried that. Don't get any audio on the CD player. Aren't the iTunes songs in a different format than is recognized in the typical "boombox" CD player?

Yes, that's why pdrayton told you to select "Audio CD." That converts them to regular old audio CD format for any CD player. Did you burn to a CD or CD-RW? Some audio players don't read CD-RW.

OK - thanks. I'll give it another try. Should be R, but I could have grabbed an RW. Will check again.

Okay, this may be a dumb question, but you do know you have to push the "burn" button twice, right?
You push it once, and the little panels open revealing a yellow-and-black fallout-warning-looking icon. ITunes will also (I think) open you CD drive and prompt you to put in a blank disk.
Then you have to push the newly-revealed icon, and you'll go through a burning process which will take a few minutes.
