I recently replaced my DVD-ROM drive with a combo-drive on my Pismo PB. I'd like to start buring some of my Purchased Music to play in my car. How can I tell if my playlist is too big for the blank CD-R? I'm brand-new to CD burning. Can anyone help a rookie out? Thanks! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I think the number at the bottom of the window of your selected playlist to burn shows the size of the mp3/aac files, not the size of normal CD audio tracks. What I've done in the past is make a list of twenty five or thirty songs, go to burn disc (make sure audio CD is checked in Preferences), then it'll tell you if you have too many songs. If you want to burn an MP3 disc, you'll have to import the songs as MP3's in the first import of the CD. Not sure if this is the best way, but I got an iPod to avoid all this burning of discs....

moose n squirrel is correct in looking at the bottom of the playlist for disc length/size. Also, if you're a little to close to the maximum size, you can go into preferences and adjust the "gap between songs' to 2 seconds or less to make sure the songs fit.
